Bryan Hulbert – HUMBOLDT, Kan. (April 28, 2022) Officials with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products and Humboldt Speedway have made the call to postpone events scheduled for Friday, May 6.
With the situation surrounding tire availability and the current production schedule, officials felt it best to look for a date later in the year as the Humboldt date was the only one on the weekend lineup. This was also to allow teams to be ready for the two-night swing through Monett Motor Speedway (Monett, Mo.) on Friday, May 13, and Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Saturday, May 14.
“This is not a blast on Hoosier; it’s just the current state of things. They are dealing with supply and labor issues the same as everyone else, and that extends outside racing. You look at nearly every industry, and everyone is still having issues. You can walk into nearly any Retail or Parts store and see that,” stated ASCS owner, Terry Mattox. “It hurts; there is no doubt about it, but it’s just something we’re going to have to work through.”
The new date will be announced once established.
