Kids Night a Huge Hit and provides great racing

Kids Night a Huge Hit and provides great racing

Friday night at the Humboldt Speedway was another great night as it was kids night at the races and a visit from the Heartland Modified Touring series. Also, on tap were the 4 other weekly classes to keep the crowd on their feet.

First up was the Home Savings Bank Factory Stocks and grabbing the heat race wins were Wann, Oklahoma's Grant Reeves and our point leader Dallas Joyce. That would set up a Reeves and Dylan Allen front row for the A-main. The feature would see Reeves grab the early lead, but as we have seen all year long Joyce was the man on a mission. Joyce would work his way around Reeves and a fast Dylan Allen who gave him a run before he grabbed the lead and never looked back. The win would see Dallas Joyce add to his already large point lead . Joyce was followed to the checkered flag by Dylan Allen, Grant Reeves, Ethan Vance and Derek Wilson.

Up next the Ray's Metal Depot USRA B-Mods and we had several new faces in an already tough weekly show. The Heats would go to Lebo, Kansas's Andrew Hodges and Liberty, Missouri's Michael Taylor III. The feature would see point leader Tyler Kidwell and Jake Hodges bring the field to the Rowe Motor Company green flag.  The battle would be hot right from the start as Kidwell and Hodges would battle it out for the top spot.  The checkered would fly for Hodges as he would grab his first win at Humboldt this year followed by Kidwell, Reece Solander, Taylor and Andrew Hodges.

The Extrusion Inc Midwest Modifieds would be out next with 3 heats won by Matt Kay, point leader Trevor Holman and Clint Drake. The A-main would see Clint Drake and Jimmy Davis lead the field to the green. It wouldn't take long for Matt Kay to work his way to the front, Kay was on a mission and was looking to have a better end to a bad week. He and Jacob Ellison lost everything but their cars due to a shop fire earlier in the week. The feature would end with Kay grabbing the win and the trip to Pete's Convenience Store's victory lane surrounded by family and friends. Rounding out the top 5 would be Jimmy Davis, Trevor Holman, Clint Drake and Brady Folk.

The night would be closed out by the Wilson Automotive Tuners/Mini Stock class. The heat race win would go to Madill, Oklahoma's Dillon Box. The Feature would see Dillion Box grab his second win at Humboldt with Larry Trester, Travis Bockover, Deann Aiello and Mike brown behind your leader.

All in all another great night as it was kids' night at the races where they got to meet their favorite drivers, grab autographs and get candy. This is always a special night and yet signifies that season is drawing to a close. We have two weeks left on the schedule with the Freedom 50 brought to you by Wilson Automotive.
