Humboldt- Sheldon Barksdale had not set foot on Humboldt Speedway before Friday night. But it did not take the Norman, Oklahoma native long to learn the fast way around the tight 3/8’s mile oval. Barksdale led start-to-finish and picked up his second straight and fifth overall Ameri-Flex Hose and Accessories / OCRS sprint car main event.
In Out Pace / McCarthy Auto Group USRA Modified action Nevada, Missouri's Chase Domer jumped out to an early lead and held off 15th starting Tad Davis and 13th starting Cody Schniepp for the win in a caution filled A Main. Gene Hogan and Dennis Bishop rounded out the top five.
In Ray's Metal Depot / USRA B Modified action Japser, Missouri's Cody Jolly rebounded from a runner up position last week to get his virst victory at Humboldt Speedway. Jolly led every lap and held off a hard closing Riley Whitworth for the win. Brian Bolin, Tim Phillips and Dylan Allen completed the top five.
Fastshafts by Axle Exchange Pure Stocks saw Matthew Kay pick up another feature win, outdistancing Derrek WIlson and Bryce Weldon for another win.
The Sport Compact class saw a new winner this week with St. Joseph's Steven Bunton picking up his first win, holding off Dennis Aiello and Trenton Wilson.
