Humboldt Speedway- Night #2 of the King of the Bullring at Humboldt Speedway saw a few repeat performances and new winners make their way into McCarthy Auto Group / Humboldt Speedway Victory Lane. 68 Cars across five classes checked into Humboldt Speedway to cap off the third of the three biggest shows of the year. Previously, the Battle at the Bullring and the King of America brought cars from 25 states and Canada to the 3/8 mile Southeast Kansas speed factory.
Cody Jolly, from Jasper, Missouri once again capitalized from his pole position to lead every lap and pick up his third win of this young season. This time Jolly had to work a bit harder as Chanute’s Tim Van Gotten used a lower line to put pressure on Jolly, especially in a late race restart that saw Van Gotten dive to the lower line and make a run at the defending track and national points champion. Jolly, riding the higher groove, drove away in the closing laps to seal the deal. Clint Johnson from Neosho, Missouri, Riley Whitworth and Matt Rose from Liberal, Missouri rounded out the top five.
