Keeter and Kidwell Shine at Humboldt Speedway

Keeter and Kidwell Shine at Humboldt Speedway

Humboldt Speedway- Racing returned to Humboldt Speedway on Friday evening with five big classes hitting the famed “Bullring” with the desire to take home the honor of and A Feature win. McCarthy Auto Group NASCAR Modifieds, Ray’s Metal Depot B Mods, Home Savings Bank Factory Stocks, O’Reilly Auto Parts Sports Compacts and visiting Midwest Modifieds showcased and expertly groomed racing surface and the results were outstanding.
In McCarthy Auto Group NASCAR Modifieds, Mitch Keeter picked up another A feature, this time in dominant fashion. USing his pole position starting spot, Keeter lept out to a lead and never looked back, leading all 25 circuits around the 3/8/ mile Hummer. Points leader Tanner Mullens, had to settle for second after battling Chanute’s Paden Phillips for the majority of the laps of the A Feature. Tad Davis and Tyler Davis rounded out the top five.
In Ray’s Metal Depot B Modified Racing, Tyler Kidwell capitalized on his pole position starting spot to end the string of victories of Cody Jolly, current points leader. KIdwell, along with Kenton Allen, used the high line around the Humboldt Speedway to makes Jolly’s task even harder. Jolly, starting inside the thirds row managed a top five finish, running fourth. Allen ran a seasons best second with Matthew Kay finishing in the third spot. Jolly and Pittsburg’s Brian McGowen rounded out the top five. Kidwell also picked up an extra $200 “bounty” on Jolly, sponsored by G Style Transport.
