2018 comes to and end this Friday night with all classes racing and point Champions being declared.
Tanner Mullens leads the McCarthy Auto Group Modified into the last night of action by 98 points of Wichita racer Tyler Davis with now Chanute transplant driver Tad Davis in third just 19 points behind Tyler's 55 machine. Paden Phillips is ahead of 5th place in points by 19 points also with Chase Sigg rounding out the top 5.
Rays Metal Depot B-Mods has been the largest car count all year with Cody Jolly topping the field nearly 50% of the races and leads the points by 125 over Mathew Kay. Kay with 1 win this season is ahead of Chanute racer Tim VanGotten by 21 points but VanGotten has found some speed coming into the last month but has stretched his point gap over Tyler Kidwell who currently sits 4th in points with Donald McIntosh rounding out the top 5.
Tumbleweed Music Festival Street Stocks finds Nick Fritch and Scott Lucke in the first full seasons of competition in year and Fritch is leading Lucke by narrow margin of 32 points going into the final night. Hunter Oswald sits 3rd with late bloomer Scott Stuart 4th and multi time winner Jay Lamons jr 5th.
Jon Westhoff has had another career season in the 9 car. Derek Wilson has multiple championships at the hummer but will have to settle for second as long as he can hold off Humboldt racer Wayne Johnson. Young gun Krew Walburn has completed yet another full season in the Pure Stocks Sponsored by Home Savings Bank and sits 4th going into the final weekend leading Joey Decoster who sits 5th.
23 points divide 1st and 2nd place in points for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Sport Compacts, Eric Ikehon leading Brandon Vink and Curtis Wilson jr. Trent Wilson sits 4th and Robert Moore is 5th in his 249 machine.
