Mullens, McGowen, Lamons, Kay and James survive to take Humboldt checkers For most of the McCarthy Auto Group / USRA Modified feature on Friday evening, it looked like it would come down to two car battle between Manor Saskatchewan's Joey Galloway and Archie, Missouri's Matt Johnson. The two battled tooth and nail during the closing laps, with contact late ending both their nights. Wichita driver Tanner Mullens inherited the lead and held off Chanute's Dennis Bishop for the win. Humboldt- Tad Davis had been patient this season, watching fellow Wichita area driver Cody Schniepp take wins while Davis ran second. Davis fought off several late race restarts, distancing himself from Jim Body and Chase Domer for the win in McCarthy Auto Group / USRA Modified action. In Ray's Metal Depot/ USRA B...more
