For the seocnd straight year the Humboldt Speedway will kick off its racing season with the Battle at the Bullring B Mod Nationals. Last year Shawn Strong topped an incredible field of 138 cars to capture the $9,000 payday. This race is pre entry only, so be sure to download and fill out your registration form to be a part of one of the biggest Modified events of the entire season. Humboldt Speedway celebrated the 2016 Opening Night in heart-pumping fashion last Friday night with 76 cars checking in, along with 26 ASCS Red River Region Sprint cars on the 3/8 mile oval. After mother nature forced a cancellation on Friday night, Sunday welcomed drivers to Humboldt Speedway for a night of great racing. In McCarthy Auto Group/ USRA Modifieds, USMTS regular Cade Dillard showed his skills in holding off Mike Striegel for a hard fought victory. Humboldt- With mother nature pushing the annual Whitworth Memorial Races to Sunday, area drivers took advantage of the opportunity and checked into the 3/8 mile Humboldt Speedway to chase an elusive $2000 payday in USRA / Ray's Metal Depot B Modified action. Following a recent accident, the bridge over 169 has been temporarily closed to thru traffic. Please use the alternate route provided to get to Humboldt Speedway. Taking the Tank Farm Road Exit ( Two Miles South of Humboldt Exit) head east to either 1600 Rd, which is gravel and has low water bridge, or to 2200 Rd., which is asphalt. Last week Chase Domer held on to win a tight race in the USRA Out Pace / McCarthy Auto Group Modified division. This week Domer led every lap and held off Terry Schultz, who sits currently in second place in USRA National points standings for the victory.
